Established in 2009, Poliklinik Rahman Putra began as a modest clinic in Sungai Buloh, founded by Dr. Kumaran Shanmugam and Dr. Bavani Sivarajah, a dedicated husband-and-wife team. With just two staff members, they operated from 8:00 AM to 11:00 PM, focusing on providing accessible and compassionate healthcare to the local community.
Over the years, the clinic has experienced significant growth. By 2025, it expanded to a team of six doctors and more than 15 staff members, reflecting its commitment to meeting the evolving healthcare needs of the community. The clinic’s operating hours were extended to 24 hours, ensuring that patients have access to medical care at any time of day or night.
In addition to its expanded team and extended hours, Poliklinik Rahman Putra introduced X-ray services, enhancing its diagnostic capabilities and providing comprehensive care under one roof. This addition underscores the clinic’s dedication to offering a wide range of medical services to its patients.
The clinic’s commitment to exceeding patient expectations is evident in its focus on preventive care and annual check-ups. Believing that educating patients about the importance of these practices is key to maintaining good health, the clinic emphasizes proactive health management. Dr. Hafiz is a General Medical Officer with experience in providing medical care to patients with a wide range of health conditions. He takes a comprehensive approach to assessing each patient’s condition before determining the most appropriate course of treatment.
Throughout his clinical experience, Dr. Hafiz has been involved in the management of various orthopaedic conditions, wound treatment and care, minor procedures, and joint injections. This experience enables him to provide practical and appropriate care based on each patient’s condition and individual needs.
In general medicine, he also focuses on the treatment of common illnesses, health monitoring, follow-up care, and disease prevention. He believes that good healthcare is not only about treating illnesses but also about helping patients maintain their health and well-being in the long term.
Dr. Hafiz is committed to providing medical care with responsibility, attention to detail, and professionalism. His priority is to ensure that every patient receives a proper assessment and safe, appropriate treatment tailored to their individual condition.
Dr. Shanmuga
Dr. Shanmuga is a Medical Officer and experienced physician with clinical expertise and experience in orthopaedics, wound care and dressing for various types of wounds, minor surgical procedures, and joint injection procedures.
He also has extensive experience in family medicine, with an approach that combines treatment, continuous care, and disease prevention to help patients achieve and maintain optimal health.
With a strong commitment and dedication to patient care, Dr. Shanmuga prioritises safe, effective, and personalised treatment tailored to the needs of each individual.
Dr. Bavani
Dr. Bavani, a Medical Officer and Occupational Health Doctor, demonstrates exceptional skill and compassion especially towards children and women. Dr. Kumaran
Dr. Kumaran, a Medical Officer and Occupational Health Doctor with a Graduated Certificate in Family Medicine, is dedicated and proficient.
